Congresswoman Kyrsten Sinema’s 9th Congressional District Offices, Phoenix, Arizona USA
March 8 – December 31, 2013
In November, 2012, Kyrsten Sinema was elected to the United States House of Representatives to represent Arizona’s newest Congressional District – CD 9. Like other Arizona Congressional Districts, CD 9 is one of richness in diversity of its constituents. A way to showcase this was an opportunity that presented itself to Phoenix Institute of Contemporary Art (phICA) to install art by CD9 artists in the District Offices in Phoenix. Curator Ted G. Decker assembled a grouping of art works by artists who live and work in CD9 that signifies the dynamism, diversity, progressiveness, richness, and stellar creativity, not only in the art community, but of the constituents of the District as well.
